07:33 PM PDT on Sunday, July 20, 2008

STACI VOLLMER, nwcn Staff

A 40-year-old North Plains man died in a crash on Pumpkin Ridge Road around 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

Kevin Plumlee was driving a 1985 Honda Accord west on Pumpkin Ridge Road when he lost control as the road curved left. A Honey Bucket traveling east truck struck the driver’s side of the Accord.

The impact of the crash ejected Plumlee from his car. He was not using his seatbelt and suffered fatal injuries.

The driver of the Honey Bucket truck, Curtis Mcteigue, 25, and his passenger, Jacob Weatherly, 23, were transported to Legacy Emanuel Hospital with minor injuries.

Police say the Accord’s speed was a factor in the crash.
