Robbery suspect dies after car slams into home

A man was killed Saturday after he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a home in Gresham.
The man was driving a borrowed Dodge Durango and was a suspect in a home-invasion robbery from early Friday morning.
Police said they were in the process of looking for the man when he was tipped off by family members and began to speed away from the area in the Durango.
The man, identified as 42-year-old John Renoud, lost control of the Durango, hit a parked car and then slammed into the garage of the home at 19322 NE Clackamas Street in Gresham.
The homeowners, who were asleep at the time of the crash, said the impact of the Durango hitting their own car inside the garage, caused their vehicle to punch through the wall and land in their living room.
The couple has two teenage children who usually sleep in nearby rooms but were not home at the time of the crash.
Renoud was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
