Teen dies after hit by Amtrak train from Portland

An Amtrak train that departed Portland and was heading to Bellingham hit and killed a 15-year-old boy near Centralia on Saturday.
The accident happened in the 600 block of South Tower Street on Saturday afternoon.
Officials with Amtrak said the train involved was number 516 which departed Portland at 2:50 p.m. and was expected to arrive in Seattle at 6:20 p.m. and then Bellingham by 9:05 p.m.
The train was held by police at the scene during their investigation, delaying both it's Seattle and Bellingham arrival times by an hour and a half.
The identity of the teenage victim had not been released.
No one on the train was injured in the accident.
