The friends and coworkers of a college student who went missing near Olallie Lake for two days before being found alive described her as a physically fit, mentally strong woman who had just celebrated her 21st birthday last month.
Kelli Bryan accepted a summer job at the Olallie Lake Resort and arrived in early June. She celebrated her 21st birthday at the lake on June 6th.
On Tuesday, she left for a hike in the area at about 8:30 a.m.
A fellow employee hiked the area when Bryan had not returned but he was unable to find her. He went to an area where there is cellular service and called to report her missing.
Bryan was reported to have been wearing clothing appropriate for a day hike -- a brown t-shirt and jeans and a blue backpack.
She had no equipment for an overnight stay outdoors.
Bryan is a Linfield College student originally from San Jose, Calif. She was planning on returning to school in the fall.
