The following details were compiled about the plane that crashed at the Hillsboro Air Show, killing the pilot Sunday: The Hawker Hunter was a British fighter aircraft used in the 1950s and 1960s. It served for many years in the Royal Air Force and has become increasingly popular at air shows. The Hawker Hunter carried just one crew member and stands about 13 feet high with a length of 45 feet. The vintage plane’s maximum airspeed is about 715 miles per hour.
