Bicyclist running red light strikes pickup truck

A bicyclist suffered serious injuries after colliding with a pickup truck in southeast Portland Monday afternoon, police said.
The collision occurred at Southeast 50th and Lincoln Street.
According to police, the cyclist ran a red light at the bottom of the hill and then struck the side of a truck car traveling through the intersection under a green light. The bicyclist was not wearing a helmet, according to the report.
The cyclist, later identified as Karl Hugo, was transported to Oregon Health & Science University Hospital for treatment. On Tuesday, Hugo was reported to be in critical condition.
