Locals still buzzing after 3.3 quake rattles Canby

A magnitude 3.3 earthquake rattled the area around Canby just before 9 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
The quake was recorded at 8:53 p.m. The epicenter was reported to be about 2 miles west of Canby at a depth of 13 miles, according to the Pacific Northwest Seismograph Network. The quake was initially reported at 2.9 but was subsequently upgraded to 3.3 in magnitude.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage but plenty of residents in the area noticed the quake.
"I was sitting outside in a lawn chair and my chair started shaking," Cathy Buchal wrote on kgw.com. "I told my husband that I thought we had just had an earthquake, but he didn't believe me."
"We live in Canby and we thought our son was upstairs walking back and forth hard," wrote Lyn Whelchel.
