We want to say thank you to everyone who is praying for both families. Words cannot describe the pain in our hearts. Tyler was our only son. We have 6 daughters that we have to find the courage and strength to continue on for. God Bless you. Sincerely, Gary and Shelley Williams

I am Tyler Williams' sister. it really helps me out reading all of the wonderful things people are saying. it feels good knowing that people i dont even know are praying for my family and i. tyler was the BEST brother i could ever ask for. i would have given my life for him in an instant. i am still searching for answers, but i know that tyler is looking down on me from heaven and protecting me. i just keep thinking, "why!?" my prayers go out to the other families that have ever experienced a loved one's death. it is truly the worst thing anyone will ever have to go through. i treasure and cherish the memories that i have with my only little brother, but i just wish i could tell him goodbye one last time. Tyler Lee Williams, I love you more than life itself. - Stephanie Williams

Janene Brundege was my best friend. Her kids and my kids are best friends. Abigail, the surprise baby for her in her forties, was a joyful little toddler who was delightful and had just begun to say words. It is a devastating loss to our family. I am still in disbelief. The overwhelming compassion of the community is a comfort to us. We are also incredibly grateful and comforted by the miraculous survival of Quintin who had been a front seat passenger. And we are grateful for the sensitive and heartfelt coverage of this tragedy by our local journalists and reporters. Portland was Janene's city; and Portland has lost two beautiful daughters, and a son, Tyler, who won't be forgotten.

After reading Gary William's comments about his son I realized that I asked the same questions - why them?. I was just one of dozens of emergency responders on the scene of the crash. After seeing so many deaths in that area you begin to get a little hardened to them. But when kids are involved it gets inside of you. All I can say is that I am sorry for their loss and I wish we could have done more for those who died.

What a terrible story to cover. I knew the Brundage Family very well and all I can say is that Janine loved her family more than anything. Poor little Abigail she was such a precious little Angel...Please keep Chris, Cynthia and Quintin in your prayers.. God Bless You. Piper McFarland

My family attended church with the Brundege Family. We camped together at Fort Stevens and I remember little Abigail running around the church gym with her sister Cynthia not far behind. I found a picture I took of Abigail at Easter this year at the church. Janene was a sweet lady and I always loved her special laugh. We know that they are now safe in the arms of Jesus. We taught her 2 older children in AWANA. Our prayers go out to Chris, Cyhthia, Quintin and Tyler's family. Love in Christ from The Johansen's

I was the umpire-in-chief at the game those boys were going to play in. The tragic news of the accident moved us all at the field. My heart and my thoughts are with the families and friends of the North Portland baseball team, the families and friends of those injured and also to those who tried so hard to help the victims of this tragedy.

Tyler Williams was a friend and a classmate and his has touched everyones lives. Tyler was such a great person and school will never be the same without him!! He was always happy and helpful to anyone and he would turn a frown upside down!!

I saw the story but didn't make any connections. I got home from out of town to find out that we know the mom and the baby the was killed. I have pictures of my daughter playing with Abigail last summer. They are about the same age. Knowing the crash victims makes it so much harder to deal with. Anonymous
