There are many options, from simple to complicated, inexpensive to a bit more pricey.
You can always go the old-fashioned route and just pick up a fan or two. Another option is the installation of some new seals on your windows and doors. They can help keep hot air from getting in. And Ace hardware worker Shawn Burns says window shades are another very effective option.
“It’ll drop [the temperature] down a good five degrees, sometimes ten degrees,” said Burns.
But there are more options. You can actually stay cool by saving energy.
“Put a compact-fluorescent light bulb in there you're only running thirteen watts versus sixty watts on a regular light bulb,” said Burns.
