Salem man dies in fiery crash while leaving driveway

SALEM, Ore. -- One person was killed in a fiery Salem car crash on Tuesday, police said.

The fatal accident happened in the 2300 block of Turner Road just before 2 p.m.
A pickup truck with a trailer was traveling north on Turner Road when a Subaru pulled out from a driveway and hit the pickup, then caught fire, according to police.
The driver of the Subaru died at the scene. It's unclear whether the impact or the fire killed the driver, whose name has not been released.
Police did not release any information on the other driver's condition.
There was one person in each vehicle.
