BEND, Ore. -- Search and rescue crews have located the body of a missing Bend doctor whose pickup and bicycle were found near the Deschutes River over the weekend.

Lt. Kevin Dizney of the Deschutes County Sheriff's Office said late Monday that Lynn McDonald's body was in about 10 feet of water, more than a mile from the trail where his bike had been found.

Investigators will try to determine how and why McDonald ended up in the river. Dozens of people took part in a search effort that included a helicopter, horses, boats, kayaks, divers, ground teams and mountain rescue.
