Around 4:10 p.m. a trooper stopped Carrie Ann Reynolds, 33, while following up on a complaint from another driver. After roadside sobriety tests, Reynolds was arrested. Later tests showed her blood alcohol level was .25 percent.
Reynolds' children range in age from 14 years to 21 months. They were taken into protective custody by the Department of Human Services.
During the investigation, troopers learned that Reynolds was traveling to her Aberdeen home from Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho. Her husband is on active duty with the U.S. Air Force. He is scheduled to be deployed to Afghanistan in six weeks.
Reynolds’ husband has been contacted and is coming to Portland to pick up his children.
Reynolds was lodged at the Multnomah County jail on one count of DUII and four counts of Child Endangering.
