Dispatch: 911, do you need police, fire or medical?

 Audio: 9-1-1 call: Eyewitness describes crash

Caller: Police.

Dispatch: What’s the problem?

Caller: I want to report an accident on Highway 26.

Dispatch: Milepost?

Caller: It’s about a quarter mile west of milepost 26. On the north side of the highway.

Dispatch: Do you know if anyone’s hurt?

Caller: I don’t know, I saw a car just drive straight off the road into the brush.

Dispatch: Quarter mile west of 26?

Caller: Uh huh, they’re on the north, they were headed east and they veered across the oncoming lane.

Dispatch: Did you see this happen?

Caller: Yeah.

Dispatch: One car only?

Caller: One car only, they were headed eastbound.

Dispatch: Did they go off the road or hit a car?

Caller: You can’t even see them from the roadway.

Dispatch: Do you know what kind of vehicle it was?

Caller: It was a compact red, I’m not sure, some sort of a compact import red.

Dispatch: You don’t know if anybody’s hurt?

Caller: No, I just went as fast as I could to get to a phone.
