For the heat:
Keep pets inside with you where it’s cool.
Provide shade and full water bowls for pets outside.
Walk your dog when it’s cooler.
Get a kiddie pool or mister for your dog.
Leave your pet at home when doing errands.
For the Fourth:
Make sure cats and dogs have current ID tags.
Don’t walk the dog when fireworks start.
Don’t take a pet to a large fireworks display.
Keep pets in a secure, windowless room during neighborhood fireworks.
