Injured hiker rescued from Mt. St. Helens

MOUNT ST. HELENS, Wash. -- A hiker was rescued from high up on Mount St. Helens early Wednesday morning after injuring himself, according to Skamania County sheriff's deputies.
The hiker injured his knee about 6,000 feet up the mountain Tuesday evening about 7 p.m., according to 9-1-1 dispatchers.
Rescuers spent all night attempting to get him down off the mountain. He was down safe by 4 a.m. Wednesday, deputies said.
The man was not hospitalized for his injuries.
