Patricia Field, 85, was struck by a vehicle at the Thriftway on 7303 SW Garden Home on Tuesday afternoon, according to police.
Field was transported by helicopter to an area hospital but did not survive her injuries. She died Tuesday night, said Detective Mary Wheat with the Portland Police Bureau.
The driver who struck Field remained on the scene and cooperated fully, police said.
An investigation determined that the driver had backed out of a parking space and was driving through the parking lot when the accident happened.
The driver was not impaired in any way and was not cited, Wheat said.
