SANDY, Ore. – Soaring temperatures may be to blame for a man’s death during a fundraising run Saturday, investigators said.

The 35-year-old was taking part in the Maternal Fetal Medicine Run at Sandy High School. The ten kilometer run began at 9:00 a.m.

Searchers began to look for the man after he did not finish the race. His body was discovered at about 4:00 p.m.

A cause of death has not been officially determined.
