About 11:40 p.m., a trooper attempted to stop a Subaru after it came into radar at 110 mph eastbound on McKay Road, near Highway 219.

The driver then sped up to more than 120 mph and continued southbound on Highway 219 through St. Paul and south toward Salem.

About seven miles south of St. Paul on Mahoney Road, the driver lost control on a curve and rolled several times into a field.

He was identified as Loui T. Arnold III, 23, and was able to get out of the totaled car before being taken into custody, said OSP Sgt. Brad Hessel. Arnold was lodged at the Marion County Jail for felony attempt to elude in a vehicle, reckless driving and criminal mischief.

Arnold was also cited for other violations.
