Historic steamboat damaged on river rocks during voyage

PORTLAND, Ore. -- A historic steamboat lost power on the Columbia River Friday evening.
The Coast Guard said the Steamer Portland was on a trip to Cascade Locks when it backed into some rocks and lost power.
The ship was dragging anchor and drifting. All passengers were on deck wearing life jackets and no injuries were reported.

Ship crews were deciding on whether to get a tug to tow the boat back to port.
The boat was scheduled to compete in the 33rd Sternwheeler Days Festival in Cascade Locks on Saturday and Sunday.
