Sketch of rape suspect.

The victim was walking home alone from a party she had attended nearby when the suspect seemingly came out of nowhere and attacked her near Sweigle and 4th streets.

Molalla police combed the area, questioning residents and looking for witnesses. No one in the area reported hearing or seeing anything suspicious that night.

Police interviewed a person of interest but have not arrested anyone.

The suspect was described as a white man about 30 years old, standing about 5-foot-10 with a medium build. He had brown hair, brown eyes and an unshaven beard. He was wearing a black hoody sweatshirt and black baseball cap.

Anyone with information is asked to call 503-706-3679.
