MILWAUKIE, Ore -- Clackamas deputies said they caught a man suspected of breaking into a Milwaukie woman’s home and trying to sexually assault her early Wednesday morning.

Detectives said the woman awoke during the attack in her bedroom just after midnight -- but was able to escape to a neighbors home and call police.

Minutes later, deputies said a patrol in the area found a man matching the described suspect as he darted between units at a mobile home park on SE Cook Court.

Clackamas County

Deputies arrested 26-year-old Demario Lewis Davis of Portland for burglary and sex abuse.

The victim was checked out at a local hospital and did not suffer any serious physical injuries.
