Million dollar bail set for Keizer meth suspect
07:02 PM PDT on Thursday, June 14, 2007
KEIZER -- Three suspects were arrested for methamphetamine charges in Keizer Thursday and prosecutors hope high bail amounts will make sure they show up to court.
Keizer Police arrested the three at homes on Homewood Court N and Cherry Ave NE after serving search warrants.
Officers said they were tipped off about drug activity.
Police said they seized $920 in cash, small amounts of meth, scales, packaging materials, a stolen Honda Four Trax and stolen tools.

Officers arrested Rodney Holder and Julia Porter for delivery and possession of meth. Holder’s bail was set at $1,230,000 and Porter’s at $515,000. Carla McCallister was arrested for possession and bail set at $15,000.
The Marion County District Attorney said since they began getting judges to set off on such high bail amounts, their efforts to fight meth crimes have been paying off.
Court officials said many times in the past year it has prevented suspects from not showing up to face charges.
