U.S. Airways is going to charge passengers for all beverages on board, including a glass of water, officials announced Thursday.

Water will cost at least several dollars on all U.S. Airways flights. Beer and wine will go up to $7 on board.

The airline will also now charge frequent flyers $25 to redeem miles in the U.S., $35 to redeem miles in Hawaii and $50 to redeem miles overseas.

 Survey: Will you pay?

In addition, the airline will charge $15 for a passenger’s first checked bag and $25 for a second bag -- each way. That matches American Airlines, which has the same charges. United also has instituted baggage charges. It was only a few weeks ago that several airlines announced they would charge a premium for aisle and window seats.

All this in an effort to make-up for record high jet fuel prices.

Southwest Airlines remains the only airline that hasn't added any new charges for luggage, seats or beverages.
