Traffic across the Broadway, Steel, Burnside and Morrison bridges experienced delays Wednesday afternoon and will again experience delays on Thursday between 1-4 p.m.

Downtown drivers can avoid delays by using the Marquam or Fremont Bridges. The ships will remain anchored along the waterfront through Monday, June 12.

Four Coast Guard ships are expected Wednesday: the USCGC Steadfast, Bluebell, Halibut, and Henry Blake.

On Thursday afternoon, ships from the U.S. Navy will arrive in Portland. Two authentic sailing “tall ships” are already docked.

Fleet week has been an annual tradition in Portland for nearly 70 years.

All ships will be departing the harbor on Monday, June 12th. Most are schedule to leave Portland between 6 and 8 a.m. The final three ships will leave following rush hour, at 9 a.m.
