Fight breaks out on MAX train in North Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Four teens are in custody following an altercation on a light-rail train in North Portland.
Detectives said just after 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, a group of teens on the MAX train traveling along Interstate Avenue began demanding money and other items from passengers. When the passengers resisted, they said a fight broke out.
At least one passenger was punched, but the injuries were not life-threatening, police said.
The suspects who were arrested were all under the age of 17. They face charges including robbery in the second degree and assault in the third degree.
