Two men arrested after man's body found in The Dalles

THE DALLES, Ore. -- Two men were arrested over the holiday weekend in connection to a 24-year-old man’s death, police said.

Sunday morning police responded to a report of an unresponsive person at a residence in the 2400 block of E. 10th Street.
They found the body of Bernardino Peral Sanchez. An autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday to determine the exact cause of death, but the preliminary investigation indicated the victim died of blunt force trauma to the head.
Police do not believe any weapons were involved.
Jamia Long, 18, was arrested on manslaughter, assault and burglary charges, police said.
Selu King, 20, was arrested on burglary and assault charges.
Both men were lodged in the Northern Oregon Regional Correction Facility. They were scheduled for arraignment Tuesday afternoon in Wasco County Circuit Court.
