Video: Speeding motorcyclist

Police have released the video a speeding motorcyclist took as he rode 164 miles per hour on Interstate 5 last month before getting pulled over and arrested.

The Eugene motorcyclist mounted a camera on his motorcycle and recorded himself breaking the law on northbound I-5 in Lane County.

Police released the video ahead of Memorial Day weekend as a message to drivers warning them against speeding.

"This is ridiculous. It's stupid. If you think it's cool, obviously we think differently. It endangers many other people on the highway, not only himself," said Oregon State Police. Lt. Gregg Hastings.

The video shows 37-year-old Ben Howard Kelley weaving between cars in a construction zone.

Kelley pleaded guilty to careless driving and was sentenced to 15 days in jail. His license was suspended as well.
