Ore. man charged with illegally killing well-known deer

GRANTS PASS, Ore. -- Oregon State Police say a Grants Pass man has been accused of illegally killing "Goliath," a blacktailed deer buck known for grazing in rural back yards and for impressive antlers.

Authorities say an anonymous tipster saw the antlers at a taxidermist shop in November and called.
Oregon State Police investigators say they determined an archer killed Goliath about Nov. 15.
On Monday, police cited 54-year-old John Costello on wildlife charges.
