Teens arrested after burglary and chase through Salem

SALEM -- Two teens were arrested after a burg;ary and police chase through the streets of Salem Wednesday.
Officers got a call about a Ford truck driving erratically on Highway 214 just before 1:30 p.m.
Deputies tried to stop the truck in the Lancaster Drive area. Police said it crashed into another car while making a turn, then plowed into the yard of a business.
According to deputies, three people tried to run, officers caught a 16-year-old male driver and 18-year-old Maxwell Logan. Inside the truck, deputies said they found stolen property -- including the truck -- taken during a burglary near Silverton earlier in the day.
No one was hurt during the chase.
The driver was charged with eluding police, unauthorized use of a vehicle, reckless endangerment and failing to perform the duties of a driver. Logan was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle.
