An 18-year-old teen died Saturday morning after a crash at the Washougal Motocross track in Washougal Washington.

Officials with the Clark County Sheriff's office said the crash happened around 8:45 a.m. Saturday during a practice ride on the track before the races started.

The teen was identified as 18-year-old Rocky C. Gesner of Orting Washington.

Gesner was injured but was still breathing as Lifeflight was called to the scene.

Sgt. Scott Schanaker with the Clark County Sheriff's Office said the teen died at the scene before he could be airlifted to the hospital.

Schanaker said that Gesner was wearing a helmet and safety equipment at the time of the crash.

The accident was under investigation.
