Mother and daughter reunite after 17-year separation
06:40 PM PDT on Friday, May 9, 2008
After 17 years of looking, a mother and daughter have found each other online.
Their next step: meet at PDX airport.
A family break-up caused the two to lose track of each other all those years ago.

Now, daughter Tylene Lane is waiting at PDX with flowers and a balloon, gifts for a mom she can't even remember.
"I was a year and 14 months old when my parents split up. And I am now 18," she explains.
Tylene's mother, Tammi Lane, found her on myspace.com last month.
The two have talked on the phone but never in person.
"For me, mom was just this shadowy figure that I never really got to see. There were no pictures of her," she says.
"Dad didn't really talk about her."
Mom lives in Arkansas.
Her connecting flight from Houston is on time.
Tylene is wearing new clothes, hoping to make a good impression on her mother.
"I think I'm going to have a heart attack," Tylene says, staring down a corridor, nervous and fidgety.
The tail of Flight 1622 appears through the window.
Five minutes later, a woman Tylene's exact height appears 100 feet beyond the security gate.
"Oh my god!"
The two women cry as they embrace.
Tammi says life has been “hell on earth” ever since she started looking for Tylene many years ago.
"I spent many a night crying," she says, "because I couldn't find her."
Now that they're together, Tammi and Tylene agree to take things one moment at a time.
"Just take it slow, take it nice and slow. Don't rush anything. We've got the rest of our lives to get to know each other now."
Mother and daughter will continue their reunion at Multnomah Falls followed by a tour of the Columbia Gorge and a weekend at the beach.
