Car plows into Aloha Thai restaurant
01:01 PM PDT on Wednesday, May 7, 2008
ALOHA, Ore. -- A driver said failing brakes led to a car crashing into an Aloha Thai restaurant, injuring one person Tuesday.
Washington County
Officers said it was around 4 p.m. when 38-year-old Julie Han drove her 2005 Honda through the wall of Zab Thai on SW 205th Avenue.
Han told deputies she was trying to park when she stepped on the brakes and got no response.
One employee was hurt when a chair flew across the room and smashed into her leg, but there were no customers dining inside at the time. Neither Han nor her kids in the car were hurt.
Han was not cited. Officials were trying to determine the structural damage to the restaurant before taking the car out.
