More charges were possible for a teen driving with a suspended license in a Beaverton crash that killed a 61-year-old woman.

Elizabeth Sherman, a critical care nurse at St. Vincent's Hospital, died Saturday from injuries suffered in the April 25th crash.

According to Washington County sheriff’s, the crash happened when a Chevy Nova driven by 18-year-old Samuel Wilson T-boned Sherman's car on Northwest Cornell Road near Murray.

Wilson appeared in court Monday to face seven charges. Sherman had worked as a nurse at St. Vincent's for 21 years. Co-workers dressed in scrubs attended the Monday arraignment.

Prior to the fatal crash, Wilson reportedly drove without his lights on, tried to evade a patrol car, and crash investigators think Wilson was speeding and ran a stop sign before jumping a curb and crashing into the other car.

Police said they suspected alcohol was involved and that Wilson’s license had just been suspended two days before the fatal crash for a DUII infraction in March.
