Pregnant woman and driver killed in wrong-way crash on I-5

Two women were killed and a man critically injured in an early morning accident on I-5 south of Roseburg.
The accident happened about 3:15 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-5, three miles south of Roseburg.
Witnesses told police they saw a white Pontiac Grand Am heading northbound in the southbound lanes of the highway where it struck a silver Hyundai Elantra head-on.
Police said the driver of the Hyundai attempted to avoid the oncoming car by swerving to the left but the right front passenger side of the vehicle was struck by the Pontiac.
The 21-year-old male driver of the Hyundai was identified as Andrew Cruz Cajita of San Mateo, Califorinia. Cruz was critically injured and taken by LifeFlight to Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland.
The 40-year-old female driver of the Pontiac was identified as Cheryl Denise Rowe of Albany, Oregon. Rowe was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her 20-year-old passenger, Chanthea Elizabeth Prak was eight months pregnant and was also killed in the accident.
Officials said Prak was originally from Fresno, California but was serving in the Army based out of Fort Lewis, Washington.

Southbound lanes of Interstate 5 were closed for about four hours after the accident and a detour was established by ODOT around the area.
