PORTLAND – A hit-and-run crash sent a pedestrian to the hospital with trauma injuries, according to police.
Samuel Grammer, 62, was expected to survive, police said.
Police officers and paramedics were dispatched to the intersection of Southeast Powell Street and Southeast 28th Avenue at 2:52 Friday morning.
A while later, police found what they believe was the suspect van parked in a driveway and arrested 28-year-old Philip Freimann. Sky-8 flew over Southeast Stark Street and Southeast 16th Avenue and found a tow truck taking away the white van, which matched the description of the vehicle involved in the early morning crash.
It is unclear if the pedestrian was crossing the street when the collision occurred.
