10:41 AM PDT on Friday, May 2, 2008
An innocent bystander was shot at the 162nd Transit Center Thursday night, according to Gresham police.
A police spokesperson said there was an argument that escalated into gunfire and an innocent bystander was wounded at the 162nd and East Burnside MAX platform 7:45 p.m.
Police arrived on scene and found Kimberly Crane, 25, with what was described to be a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
She was taken to a local hospital.
Detectives shut down the Max line and traffic on Burnside while they investigated.
They described the suspect as a black man who left the area in a full sized, maroon or dark-colored SUV.
The case remains under investigation and anyone with information was asked to call the Gresham tip line at 503-618-2719 or 1-888-989-3505
