Driver killed during collision with Jeep on Scholls Ferry Road
04:28 PM PDT on Monday, April 21, 2008
A woman was killed in a crash on Southwest Scholls Ferry Road Sunday night, authorities said.
The preliminary investigation indicates that 24-year-old Carly R. Davis lost control of her vehicle and crossed the center line, where she was struck by a Jeep traveling the opposite direction, said Sgt. David Thompson, spokesman for the sheriff's office.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee was driven by 40-year-old Tony Safari.
The crash occurred about 8 p.m., two miles west of SW Military. "At this point in the investigation, there is no evidence that either driver was under the influence of alcohol or drugs," Thompson said.
Safari was hospitalized with minor injuries, according to Thompson.
