PORTLAND, Ore. -- Portland City Commissioner Dan Saltzman wants to crack down on people who chop down trees, even their own, he told K103 FM News in an interview Wednesday.
Saltzman was speaking after a presentation of the annual report from Portland’s Urban Forest Commission.
Comment: What do you think?
He told the radio station he believes trees have rights, and the city should impose civil penalties for violations of Portland’s tree ordinance.
