Forensic experts reconstruct face from decades-old skull
12:33 PM PDT on Monday, April 14, 2008
Forensic investigators have determined that a human skill discovered near Government Camp more than 20 years ago is that of a young woman, police said Monday.

Clackamas County Detective Debbie Calhoun said the circumstances suggest foul play. Police were following up tips they got in the case Monday.
The skull, minus jawbone and teeth, was found in 1986 just off a remote stretch of road south of Government Camp. Investigators think the skull may have been there up to a decade.
Last month, a forensic scientist with the Oregon State Police Forensic Crime Lab, determined the skull was from a woman in her late teens or early twenties.
A Clackamas County forensic artist has done a reconstruction based on the skull, showing a young woman with pigtails.
Investigators hope the release of the combined forensic data and forensic reconstruction image will prompt someone to come forward and provide investigators with relevant information about the woman's identity.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office tip line at (503) 723-4949 and/or Detective Calhoun at (503) 722-6746.
