Child ejected from pickup during crash dies

BANKS, Ore. –- An 11-year old boy from Banks, Ore. who was critically injured in a crash Sunday afternoon died from his injuries Tuesday.

The accident happened on Timberline Road, about three miles north of Highway 26.
Ruthanne Adams, 48, was driving a Ford F150 pickup southbound on a downhill curve of Timberline Road when she lost control, hit a snow bank and rolled, said Oregon State Police Lieutenant Gregg Hastings.
Right front passenger Philip Hunter Kollar, 11, was ejected from the pickup. He had not been wearing a seatbelt, Hastings said.
Kollar was transported by LifeFlight to Oregon Health Sciences University.
His mother and 13-year-old brother, who were both wearing seat belts, suffered minor injuries.
Police continued to investigate.
