PORTLAND, Ore. -- A 71-year-old man was arrested after a shooting at a light-rail platform.
The Portland Police Bureau says John Hutchens of Fairview was being booked late Tuesday on an assault charge.
TriMet workers noticed the victim sitting with another man before the shooting. They later saw the second man leave on an eastbound train and found the victim with a bloody finger.
The victim remains hospitalized. His name has not been released.
Police say it does not appear that the suspect knew the victim.
