Ore. war vets want the job done

More than 1,700 Oregon National Guard soldiers have served in Iraq since the war began four years ago.
They said despite protests, they also want the war to end but not until the job of stabilizing Iraq is finished.

Two who are now home are brothers Gabe and Jesse Sapp. Jesse watched the protests in Portland with a mix of frustration and anger.
“I don’t like it. I think it’s rude,” he said. “A lot of them, I've asked before why are you doing this? And they say ‘Oh we're not protesting you or the soldiers we're protesting Bush.’ Bush is a soldier. Bush is our commander, our commander in chief. And he's trying to do things not for him, for our country and for them. So we can live happy and in peace."
Jesse believes pulling out of Iraq too soon would be an invitation for terrorists to attack here in America.

He also thinks leaving before the job is finished is an insult to all the soldiers who have died in the fighting.
