Griffin Bacon is all smiles. He peeks through recent photographs taken while he and his family were enjoying dozens of rides at Disneyland.

It's also a dream come true for the eight year old Vancouver boy who is living with Cystic Fibrosis.

Michael Bacon treasures the time with his son.

"The thing that amazed me was the smiles on his face, the constant smile."

The four days in Disneyland came as a surprise. The Bacon family was attending a March fifth Make-A-Wish of Oregon fund raiser, when Mickey Mouse grabbed Griffin.

That's when they learned the family was headed to Disneyland.

Griffin's favorite ride? "California Screaming!" he says enthusiastically.

And Griffin's favorite character he wanted to meet? "Donald Duck, because we are Oregon Duck people." University of Oregon banners and mementos fill the home.

The eight-year-old is in third grade at Orchards Elementary.

He plays the drums and laughs as he shares experiences from the Disney experience. He's in good health right now because he takes a lot of medication daily.

But his parents note Griffin has a dormant bacteria in his lungs that could become serious. Bacon adds "it's knowing that time is ticking."

They're hoping a cure will be found for Cystic Fibrosis. Until then, they soak up every moment together. And they're grateful for the "wish" granted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Oregon.

Bacon smiles and says "the Make A Wish Foundation, making kids so happy, there's been a few teary-eyed moments."
