Feds approve loans for Ore. storm victims

The federal Small Business Administration has already approved more than $1 million in low-interest disaster loans for homeowners, businesses and renters whose property was damaged by storms early last November.
The loans cover losses not fully covered by insurance and do not duplicate other benefits.

Business owners who suffered only financial impact as opposed to property loss in seven counties have until September 19th to apply for additional loans of up to $1.5 million if they can't neutralize the impact without hardship.
The counties are Clatsop, Columbia, Lincoln, Polk, Tillamook, Washington and Yamhill.
