Jamie Tennille Burkhart was lodged in the Linn County Jail on charges including sodomy, sex abuse and attempted rape, said Captain Eric Carter with the Albany Police Department.

The investigation began in early January after a 20-year-old man reported that Burkhart sexually abused him when he was about 10-years-old.

During the time of the alleged abuse, Burkhart operated the Winnie the Pooh Day Care center out of her Albany residence, located at 5001 SW Pacific Boulevard #31.

Burkhart, a state certified day care provider, continued to provide daycare services until about six months ago, Carter said.

Police said they have reason to believe there may be more victims who have not come forward.

Anyone with any information regarding Jamie Tennille Burkhart is asked to call (541) 917-7686.
