Turner man tied up and assaulted by masked intruders
04:32 PM PST on Sunday, March 2, 2008
A Turner area man is recovering after five armed and masked robbers broke into his home, then bound him and assaulted him.
Turner Police Chief Gary Will said the incident happened around 1 a.m. on Saturday at the home the man shares with friends on Solarian Drive SE in Turner.
The 41-year-old victim told police that five men wearing masks and armed with assault type rifles entered the home before they tied him up and then kicked him several times.
Police said the suspects took money, prescription medication and other household items.
All five suspects left in the victim’s dark blue Oldsmobile Silhouette. The car was found later Saturday morning abandoned near Brownell Road and Simpson Road SE.
Police said there were two other roommates home at the time of the crime but they were not injured.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Turner Police Department.
