A late-winter storm had dumped more than a foot of snow on Mt. Hood by Sunday morning, and snow was expected to continue through Monday, with rain in the valley.

"In the Cascades, at least two feet of snow can be expected over the weekend," said KGW meteorologist Dave Salesky. "We may possibly see 50-70 inches of new snow on Mt. Hood from Sunday to Sunday."

He said the storm would bring the biggest snowfall this winter.

On Saturday, ODOT required chains on all vehicles on Hwy 35 and Hwy 26 in the Mt. Hood area.

Meanwhile, steady rain soaked the Willamette Valley, while rain and wind buffeted the Oregon Coast.

It also snowed at the Oregon Coast Friday.
