JOHN DAY, Ore. (AP) -- Two new highway cameras have been added in Eastern Oregon to provide travelers with current information on road conditions.
The Oregon Department of Transportation installed one camera along U.S. 26 about 30 miles east of John Day in Grant County. The other is stationed along Oregon 205 near Frenchglen, 60 miles south of Burns in Harney County.
The cameras can be seen on the Oregon TripCheck.com Web site, which offers road and weather information, driving tips, maps, commuting options and other travel services.
The site includes access to more than 220 roadside cameras stationed across the state.
