Bike commuter hit by car in NE Portland roundabout

A man commuting to work on his bicycle was hit by a car Monday morning in northeast Portland, police said.Dennis Bley, 41, was injured and taken to Legacy Emanuel Hospital with non life-threatening injuries, according to Sgt. Brian Schmautz, spokesman for the Portland Police Bureau.
The accident occurred at NE 47th and Brazee Street. The driver was going the wrong way on a roundabout, according to police.
Christopher Onslow was cited for failure to obey a traffic device -- while entering the traffic circle at a stop sign, Onslow drove clockwise instead of counter clockwise, Schmautz said.
