LA GRANDE, Ore. (AP) -- Searchers have found the body of a 63-year-old Umatilla County man lost in rugged country about 40 miles southwest of La Grande.
Union County sheriff's deputies said the body of Carl Sells was found Tuesday afternoon inside the Umatilla County line and about a half mile north of Highway 244.
Sells apparently tried to drive out to the highway from his remote cabin near Lehman Hot Springs, got stuck in deep snow and walked away from his pickup.
He was reported missing about 4:30 p.m. Monday.
